Things to do
Sandown Bay Holiday Centre is set in a stunning location with far-reaching views over land and sea. Please note there are no facilities or entertainment on site, but these can be found close by if needed. This makes the site quite unique and very relaxing. Children can play on the open grassed areas and some inside and outside games are provided for them in each chalet to enjoy.
The Island Coastal Path just outside the Centre gives you access to the sandy beach at Yaverland in approximately ten minutes. This beach is dog friendly all year. In the other direction is Culver Down, with its panoramic views, monument and great pub!
Sandown with its pier and long sandy beach, can be easily reached on foot within 15 minutes, or five minutes by car. Here you will find various attractions, eateries and shops. Attractions include Wildheart Animal Sanctuary, Dinosaur Isle (museum) and Sandham Gardens with its Skynets, go-karts and crazy golf. Browns family golf and café can also be found on the seafront.
Other attractions to explore whilst on the Island, depending on your interests, could be The Needles, Osborne House, The Donkey Sanctuary, Robin Hill Country Park, Blackgang Chine, The Garlic Farm, Tapnell Farm and many others.
We are more than happy to recommend places to visit and eat depending on your tastes, and our
experiences of the lovely island. We look forward to hearing from you.
